Chic Melbourne CBD Engagement Session

Smart couple dressed in black standing under the portico of the Melbourne's Parliament House

Monique and Matt celebrated their engagement with a romantic photoshoot in Melbourne’s CBD in early April 2024. When choosing their wedding venue they were torn between a city wedding and a Yarra Valley winery wedding.

Ultimately, they ended up booking Stones of the Yarra Valley so the choice of location for their engagement shoot was easy: the city!

We started off at The Trust building and then made our way up Collins St to Louis Vuitton & Chanel, and then tram-hopped our way up to Parliament House.

We finished the 2-hour session at a secret bar hidden behind a pizza store and sipped on cocktails before Matt and Monique continued their date night with dinner at a nearby Italian restaurant.

Check out their absolutely stunning gallery below, and if you’d like to find out more about booking an engagement shoot with me, head on over for all the information you’ll need!

Locations: The Trust Weddings, Hotel Windsor Weddings

There has been so much hype around Alora Macedon, and honestly, it makes complete sense.
This is a brand new private estate wedding venue in the Macedon Ranges, set across 13 acres, and it brings something genuinely different to the Victorian wedding scene.

It feels considered, architectural, and very design led, which is exactly why it suits my editorial approach to wedding photography so well.

Some couples leave things to chance.

Claire is not one of those people.

Before we even talk about the architecture, the styling, or the dance floor that stayed packed all night, we need to talk about the fact that Claire hired not one, but THREE different Etsy witches to cast a very specific weather spell for her wedding day.

The brief? No rain. Partly sunny. Somewhere between 22 and 27 degrees.

And quite surprisingly, it worked.

If you’ve ever wished you could get married somewhere that feels like Italy — olive groves, rolling hills, wine, late-night feasts, pasta course after course, and that easy-going joie de vivre included — then you’re not alone and this is exactly how I wanted my own wedding day to feel.

One of the first things many couples tell me when they reach out is they want their wedding to feel romantic, intimate, soulful, and yes, Italian in spirit.
